Taobao Mall Market, also known as Tmall Market, is a hyperlocal retail platform implanted in Taobao App, Alibaba Group's main product. Working as a UX intern during Summer 2021, I communicate with engineers and product managers to work out the most ideal strategies and interface designs that provide users with a better membership experience and hence increase sales for Tmall Market and Alibaba. Notably, user experience design methods including user persona, competitor analysis, user journey, etc. are being used to determine problems and solutions. The new version 10.13.0 is now available on the Chinese AppStore for downloading.
The valuable internship experience was the best teacher since I got the chance to practice the skills I learned at school as well as knowing how to apply theories to real-life problems.
